handyPring STD and PRO 5.0.9 released

I have found that the previous version (5.0.8) contained an non critical annoying bug that would cause cloned printers to not be properly removed upon rename or remove actions. v5.0.9 address those issues and also bring the cloning feature to the PRO version.
In the original v5.0.8 the option to create a copy of a local printer has also been renamed “Clone printer…” as it make more sense vs the original “Copy local printer…” option name.
That is all for now. I will publish a new version in the near future to address some cosmetic issues I just noticed with v5.0.9. None of those are actually critical. They are just cosmetic.

Only today have i considered the possibility of printing from my iPad 4. Ninety–eight percent of its use is in my lap, in my den in front of a television & connected to the Internet via Apple Airport. The Airport is connected via Ethernet to a router in my office with a 27″ iMac, and printer(s) attached. My best printer isn’t attached as the drivers don’t seem to be updated from a decade plus ago. I really don’t know if updating the driver is possible.
With the house wired for Ethernet I hope your software will work for at least using the ‘brother’ printer which the iMac uses. My old printer is a duplex, QMS Minolta PagePro 4100 GN, if you have any suggestions for using this printer they will be appreciated.
One situation is that I do not use PayPal; do you accept credit cards? I’ve read complaints about your minimum ‘Donation’. You are entitled to a reasonable return on your investment if the product works good.
Thanks in advance for your feedback and any suggestions to my situation.
Thanks,

As an alternate method you can also buy a copy of mDNSBrowser from the Apple AppStore and the handyPrint application will recognize it and use it as a valid license: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mdnsbrowser/id570455991?mt=12 Simply buy and run mDNSBrowser once. You can then close it. Then go back to the handyPrint application, turn it OFF and ON and it should be licensed 😉
