AirPrint Activator v2.0b1 now available for testing
comment : 10
As promised I have completely re-written AirPrint Activator to be fully independent of Apple’s support in OSX/iTunes.
This new version should work just fine under OSX Leopard, Snow Leopard and Lion running on intel CPU.
This implementation does not require “Administrator” rights to work as it leverage user level access only to do it’s magic.
You can find the latest beta release on the AirPrint Activator V2 page.
Let me know how it work for you.

works flawlessly in lion. thank you so much!
I seem to be having an issue. The printer shows up on my ipad, however when i press the print button it seems like the file is sent but does not print. I have tried all methods of removing and adding the printers as suggested.
Is that with the latest v2.0b2? v2 does not need to remove/add printers anymore 😉
What kind of printer is it? I can print fine on my USB attached Laser Brother printer. Maybe there is something special about it?
Yes with the latest version vb2.0b. My iTunes is version 10.2? The printer is HP and worked fine with snow leopard and hacktivator. Printer shows up on iPhone and iPad, but no documents print
So you upgraded to v2.0b2 after disabling in v1.x and removing/adding back the printers to bring things to “pre activator v1.0”.
You see your printer as “Airprint HP something” on the iPad but printing to it does nothing.
One thing to try would be to disable v2.0b2, re-run v1.x, remode/add the printer and test. If all work fine then you could use Bonjour Browser to look at the printer definition and post the details in the forum.
I could try to make a custom version of Airprint with the exact string from the printer that work and see if it work any better.
Drop by in the forum and we will work it out.
I upgraded to version 2 and have since tried version 3 all with no avail. I have also tried reverting to version 1 and this finds no printers at all.
You are correct with version2 the printer shows up on the ipad as AirPrint HP etc. In the panel on version 3 where it shows printers there are none.
I have run Bonjur Browser and have the following.

I have tried printing form a mac book pro and this works fine.
I followed the video exactly on how to install the software but the box which shows printers in AirPrint is empty. I turned off the printer sharing and then turned it on again and it never acknowledged a printer. I have Mac OSX v.10.6.6 and my printer is HP.
On Lion from iPad is ok, but not on bonjour printers like Konica Minolta.
Will there be a version Compatible with PowerPc G4 ? OSX 10.5.8
